New England Crime Bake

My writing calendar begins and ends with New England Crime Bake. There’s a certain grit and rhythm to it—just as the year darkens and quiets, I’m drawn to this gathering of minds that live for the twist, the chase, the unresolved. It’s not quite the holidays yet, but it feels like the right time to look back at what we’ve built and where we’re going.

This year tested me in every way. But tomorrow starts Crime Bake 2024, and so, I suppose, it’s looking just a little bit brighter.
